Health insurance for your parents in India

Term insurance as an NRI
Through Axis Max Life, Canara HSBC Life and LIC of India.
- Indian term plans for NRIs. Many insurers offer term cover to NRIs living in a wide range of countries, often at lower premiums than abroad.
- Medicals made easier. Depending on the insurer, medical tests can sometimes be arranged abroad or through tele and video checks.
- Pay from your NRE or NRO account. Premiums can usually be paid from your Indian accounts.
Eligibility depends on your country of residence, nationality and the insurer's underwriting. We'll check this for you first.
Investing in India
Mutual funds as an AMFI-registered distributor, plus fixed deposit and bond options subject to eligibility.
Find your risk profile- Mutual funds through NRE or NRO accounts. SIPs and lumpsum investments with NRI KYC.
- US and Canada residents. Some fund houses don't accept investments from residents of these countries, or need extra declarations. We'll tell you which options are open to you.
- Tax on redemptions. For NRIs, tax is usually deducted at source when you redeem. We'll explain what to expect.
- Review what you already hold. Many NRIs have old investments in India they've lost track of. Get a free review.
